Getting BlogNetworkWatch in order…

Edit this to add a ad unit in the content body.

Now that BlogNetworkWatch.net has been noticed, It is time that we get some things in order. I definitely can understand why Martin choose to shut down his version of BlogNetworkWatch when he has other projects that interest him a bit more. Blogging about blogging can be very time consuming.

I am an impulse kind of guy, so when Martin said that he was shutting down and encouraged others to do something similar, I immediately signed up a domain name and put up what you see here. This weekend the wife and the kids are going to Grandma’s so I will have all weekend to work on BlogNetworkWatch, less a college football game or two.

When It comes to blogging, I have really only been serious about it since the beginning of this year. My ears are definitely still wet. I welcome any an all suggestions, comments, criticisms, etc., etc., on making BlogNetworkWatch a success.

    1. Put as list of all networks in the right sidebar (use the “Links” feature of Wordpress)
    2. Use wordpress’s permalink features to create better URL’s (this is better for search engines
    3. Contact all the blog owners to introduce yourself. Martin did this, and it’s one of the things that endeared him to most of “us” (weird being called part of a group like this, but ah well)
    4. Do regular interviews, or ask for scoops, from blog network owners. Again, great way to build relationship.
    5. Talk to someone like The Blog Herald about syndicating your content to their site (there are others). The wider the audience, the better for you.

    Best of luck mate!

That was a solid piece of advice from Jeremy…

Blogging seems to be coming of age, fast.
However, growing beyond the incidents of one BNW site shutting down and another coming up, one must say, it’s a welcome development/trend. BNWs are going to serve several purposes simultaneously, both from the bloging community’s point of view as well as from the angle of target audience.

    Wish you all the best…
